Part 1 of the Story
Part 2
Italy - warm, friendly and a nice place to rubber up. Oddly I didnt encounter many inquiring or curious folk on this trip until the very end, including a rather frank exchange with an interesting frenchman. I'm not sure why this was, but it was a marked contrast to the response I got in just one day back home this month . . .

Transfer to Rome
It is early morning in Barcelona and I dress again for the train to Rome, same outfit as the day before, black n white polo with blue splatter/bleacher jean. Four transfers made it a long journey but I went out and waited in the gentle rain for 30 minutes in my full rubbers at a french station and that felt really nice. It was very nice to feel like I should actually be in rubber. "You are dressed for rain!" said one fan as we both waited trackside.
crossing France in the rain
Crossing the Alps. We had two long layovers of 20 minutes each and I went outside to take some pics. I'm quite sure the conductors were amused as I set up the camera for self portraits. The trains are always rubber friendly, being more relaxed than other travel modes.

Rome
Arrived at Rome in the morning, dropped my bags at the hotel till I could check in in the afternoon. Went to one of the many museums I had not yet been to. By random chance it was the annual free museum day, so I checked it out. Got there when it opened and it was rather empty and had it to myself for an hour or so. Still in the same blue bleacher jeans! By the time I was done there, the sun had come out and it was warm, so went back and changed into a simpler outfit and headed back into town to see some of the old sites and some more museums. For reasons unknown, this simple look, slacks and a red rubber t-shirt under a floral shirt (see below), got the most intense stares I've ever seen! Later in the afternoon it got rainy again and more comfortable.

touring one of Musolini's new "cities" south of town
A rubber night at the ballet in Rome was highlighted by the two hot looking guys sitting across from me on the other side of the theatre. I don't think they ever noticed me but I noticed them. Otherwise the folks sharing the box seats with me didn't seem to mind, although the viewing was slightly obstructed.
a rubber night at the ballet in Rome should always start with gelato

Going Home - Firenze and Milano
In Firenza it was too sunny for full latex so I wore the red shirt again. As in Rome, I got a lot of folks glaring at my chest in puzzlement, but as the pants were mostly covered over, I'm not sure they knew what to do with it . . .
Spent the last day in Europe's fashion capital wearing, you guessed it, latex. Back to the blue bleachers. Had a nice time walking around Milan and had several folks want pictures. I didn't always feel up to it, but in hindsight think I should have as I appreciate it when folks actually ask first!

Home
As I boarded the Milan express train to Paris for my flight a stranger caught my eye briefly. He seemed strangely dressed but I was tired so sat down to rest a bit and didn't think about it again. About an hour later he got up and walked back, stopping in front of me and speaking english with a distinct french accent informed me that he really liked my pants (the blue bleacher rubber jeans). He was a rather good-looking long-haired frenchman perhaps similar in age to myself. That is when I noticed the black leather pants with lace-up sides. Another fetishist on board! Nice. We go to talking a bit and before I could say "haute couture!" he asked if I wanted to join him in the 'loo at the end of the car! Flattered as I was I had to decline, explaining that my partner and I only play when together, and being as I was alone this trip . . . That's not to say we are adverse, but we are very content to be mostly monogamous unless together. Nonetheless, I gave him my email should we ever be on the same continent again. All in all a nice way to end this trip.
